Hi! I just want to inform you that Google News no longer provides RSS feeds, so "News" section on the main page is not working. You should either switch to another RSS feed provider, or just remove entire section.
I love some of the new contributions you've been making here lately! Especially the trivia about Taki's neat handwriting. I didn't know that before! Also thank you for cleaning up the swearing in the comments.
That said, I just wanted to kindly bring something to your attention. Could you refrain from making any further edits before proofreading them, checking your sentences with Microsoft Word or an online grammar checker, or otherwise controlling your grammar usage? You are making mistakes such as confusing verbs like "affected and effected," capitalizing words in incorrect situations, and incorrectly using prepositions in nearly all of your edits. In addition, you commit errors such as using colloquial language in articles-- which should be written with the same formality as a Wikipedia article.
I didn't want to point this out before because I was afraid to discourage you! I love your enthusiasm and dedication to this wiki, and we need someone just like you! :) But now that you are an admin, it is your duty to EDUCATE yourself on English grammar and keep your writing at a certain quality. There are online videos you can watch and articles you can read-- and if you want, I'll happily link you to some of them! :)
I'm bringing this matter to you now because:
A) You are making a LARGE amount of edits, almost all of them with incorrect grammar. (Perhaps to earn badges?)
B) My computer is broken and I've been forced to do everything on mobile lately. This makes it very difficult to type, edit, and view change histories.
With these two reasons, I can no longer clean up after you as I've done in the past. Please remember that you are an admin now, not just a regular contributor, and quality control is one of your responsibilities if you wish to continue being an admin.
Again, I mean thus in the nicest way possible. Your enthusiasm and energy is inspiring, but honestly your grammar is creating too much work and stress for me.
I won't require you to go back and fix your previous edits (I can do that once my computer is repaired on Monday)-- but it would be sweet of you to try? But you don't have to. I know it's a lot of work to backtrack, and plus you made a LOT of edits... Haha.
Thank you for your attention... Sorry, I really just have this wiki's interests and your own positive development as a writer at heart.
Please don't hesitate to write on my wall or respond to this message if you need help, have questions, or have further comments!
I did not even realize that this was happening. My friends at school point out my bad grammar but I didn't know that they were this series. I am deeply sorry for making things harder for you. Now that I think about it. I really wish my English teachers actually taught me things.
I think I've been making all these mistakes mainly because I was/am probably rushing to get more points. I really hate myself for doing that. I'll try and go slower when editing or writing
I'm sorry to hear about your computer as well. Using a mobile device is too hard to edit with. Right now after reading your message, I just installed Grammarly. I plan to use MS Word more as well, because of its proofreading tool. I'm so sorry to have grammar problems. It's kind of ironic since I'm some form of a creative writer. I am writing my own novel. I haven't really gotten back into doing that. Maybe I should.
I was thinking, do you want to set up a time to chat in the Wikia's chat room? I think it'd be easier to talk that way. I don't know...
Lastly, I don't think you should stress at all when on the Wikia or about anything that you think you need to do or add. I agree you are the most influential person in the English community of Hibike! Euphonium but again, it's just a page about an anime that is truly something special. I appreciate that you are asking me in the nicest way possible. Please continue to point things out that are harming the Wikia.
P.S. I like how you called me Leo. Few people call me that. What's also cool about that is Leo is my Zodiac sign.
Thanks for being so sweet about it <3 But besides standard English grammar, there are also some specific Japanese and concert band related grammar things we need to talk about for you to function effectively as an admin.
Would you do me a huge favor and consider pressing pause on your editing frenzy until Monday when my computer is fixed? Just hold up until I'm caught up with you. I'll message you here when I'm all ready to go and we can talk :)
In the meantime, it might be a good idea for you to head on over to my blog page and read the post about band terminology. Some of those things apply to you, haha.
Thank you so much Leo! We'll chat soon!
P.s. I remember you saying you liked to be called Leo, hehe
Thank you so much for your contribution to this wiki-- especially when the fandom is slow after the second season! Please please please keep writing for us-- we desperately need the help and it is so generous of you to volunteer your time for the band geek cause <3
I do want to let you know however that I reverted your renaming of the Horn in F page because, as you know (since you're a musician), "French Horn" is a misnomer... and we don't want to propagate that misnomer further than it already has been. There is however a redirect link from "French Horn" to "Horn in F"-- so people will be able to find the page if they search "French Horn." Thanks though!
Please don't think too much of it though and edit anything you think needs to be changed!! So glad to have another active member on the wiki who isn't a troll :) Hope to see more of your work!
