Festival Time (ただいまフェスティバル Tadaima Fesutibaru) is the fifth episode of the Hibike! Euphonium anime series. It was first broadcasted on May 5, 2015.
Synopsis
With Kitauji High School performing at the upcoming Sunrise Festival, the school's band begins their preparation, starting from getting their official uniform to practicing the steps and performance. Amidst the harsh training, the band shows a change in their work ethic, no longer complacent about just having fun and now actively seeking improvement during practice, even as their opinions towards Taki-sensei remain sour. Meanwhile, Reina and Kumiko had slowly began becoming close again to the point of having a conversation after the events of middle school.
At the day of the Sunrise Festival, the band faces strong competition against two famous school bands, one of which is Rikka High School, whose invitation to their school was rejected by Reina in favor of Kitauji. Taki, however, sees this as an opportunity to show the audience their skills. With Asuka leading the band as the drum major for the event, Kitauji wows the crowd with their performance.

- Rikka High School is based on the real-life Kyoto Tachibana High School (official website), which has a similar outfit during their band performances, except with a dominant orange color scheme instead of Rikka's light blue.
