What happened to Taki-Noboru-Desu in 2019 and 2020
STORY TIME! It's midnight here on the east coast, I've a little too much "Gatorade," and that means it's time to log on and overshare some personal problems on the internet!
Back in January 2019 I won a clarinet audition for a military band, was over the moon, signed my papers, and shipped off for 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training... and everything went great until I fell from an obstacle during week 9, and broke my shin in half.
I went to the hospital on-post, got surgery, and they inserted a 12-inch-long metal rod under my kneecap and into my bones. It's still in my leg to this day! Always gives TSA a good scare.
Anyway, Basic Combat Training ("Boot Camp") is exactly how you imagine it to be. Constant yelling, swearing, and insults, and alm…
Standard Format For Instrument Pages
I've been writing and/or editing a lot of the instrument pages on the wiki, and I noticed quite a few inconsistencies among them. I understand that a lot of the pages were written many years ago, so perhaps it's time we revise them to have a consistent format across them all. I would like to hear input from anyone as to what this format should be. I will happily reorganize/rewrite the pages as necessary to fit the format. Thanks in advance!

More news flash.
Update: I am still celebrating the fact that I made the 11,000 edit, and also, congrats to Percy for making 100 edits in a single day!
First Badge Winner
Whew. Apparently I'm the first person to make 100 edits in a single day. That's kind of surprising. Yay me.
We need help!
Hi everyone! If you're on this wiki as a new or old member, we need help!
The number one thing on this wiki that we need hands on deck for is grammar editing. Many pages on here were written by non-english speakers or younger American editors. While these international contributors have given us INVALUABLE information that we would otherwise have trouble finding (bc Hibike sources are mainly in Japanese), we need help arranging all of it to be presentable for English readers. Please consider helping out-- that is the biggest thing this wiki needs help with!
Many pages that require grammar checking are in the light novel summary sections of the wiki, but they can be found on almost any page of the wiki.
Thank you everyone, and let our piece go o…
Bandspeak 101 for people who are NOT band geeks
Hi fellow Hibike fans! :) If you're reading this, chances are that you spend an inordinate amount of time editing and reading this wiki. In either case, we thank you for your dedication!
Because the majority of this fandom seems to have little or no experience with real life wind band participation (at least not in America or Japan), I thought I'd write a blog post (since I'm a Chinese-Japanese-American band geek) to address a few things I have seen on and off this wiki that fans say regarding the Hibike universe... things which real wind musicians just don't say, whether you are in America or Japan.
1. There's no need to capitalize things. I don't play the Clarinet in the Band under my Section Leader with my Band Director, but I do play the…
